You have a specific shape in mind.
A fiberglass shell comes in the sizes the manufacturer makes. Gunite comes in the size you draw.

Typically eight to twelve weeks from excavation to startup, once permits are issued. Gunite needs to cure before plaster goes on, and there are inspection holds built into the schedule, so it can't be rushed the way a fiberglass drop-in can. Weather is the main variable.
Does gunite need resurfacing? The shell itself lasts decades. The interior finish is the wear item. Plaster generally lasts ten to fifteen years, and quartz or pebble finishes last longer. We handle resurfacing in-house, including on pools we didn't build. see renovations
Slightly. A plaster surface is porous compared to fiberglass gel coat, so it holds a bit more algae and consumes somewhat more chemical over a season. A salt system and a variable-speed pump close most of that gap, and we'll size both correctly when we spec the build. [NEW] If you'd rather not own the chemistry at all, we run recurring service.
Yes, and gunite is usually the best answer when a yard has real grade to it. Retaining walls, raised beams, and vanishing edges can be engineered into the same structure. Grade is a cost factor, so it's worth having us look early rather than after you've fallen in love with a design.
We handle all of it: permits, engineering, and inspection coordination with Rutherford County or your municipality, including barrier and fencing code. You approve the plan; we deal with the county.
We won't put a number on a web page that we'd have to walk back the moment we see your yard, and anybody who does is quoting a pool they haven't looked at. What we can tell you is what moves it: overall size, how much decking you want, whether the lot needs retaining, your finish and tile selection, the equipment package, and how hard it is to get a machine into the backyard. The consult is free and it ends with an itemized proposal and a CAD drawing, so you'll have a real number before you've spent anything.
Yes. We work with lenders who specialize in pool projects, which usually means better terms than a general home improvement loan, and it reframes the whole decision as a monthly number rather than a lump sum. We'll walk you through the options at the consult without any pressure to use them.
We hand you a pool you know how to run. You get a walkthrough of the equipment, a startup schedule for the new plaster, which genuinely matters in the first month, and a standing invitation to bring water samples into either store for free testing. After that it's up to you. Some owners run our recurring service and never think about it again, some do it all themselves and just buy chemicals from us, and both are fine.
